Located on the road to the Loire Castles, the Domaine de Moresville offers calm and relaxation.

Only a short ride from Chartres and from Châteaudun, the exquisitely decorated Château de Moresville offers its visitors the pleasure of an unforgettable sojourn in a bucolic setting.

Built in 1716, the château was embellished with a tower in 1870 and was very recently renovated to offer maximum comfort and numerous amenities and to satisfy modern needs. In addition to the magnificent main building flanked by its two annexes, the property boasts an ancient chapel as well as a picturesque pigeon shelter.

The entire complex is set within a verdant and flowery park inhabited by hundred-year-old trees, and the handsome image of the Château is quietly reflected in the adjacent pond.

You will be seduced by the castle’s elegant decor, ideal for both personal and professional events, whether it be a reception, wedding, formal or informal party, seminar or a cocktail party.

The castle features 4 great and exquisitely decorated salons, 11 bedrooms of various sizes, a large dining room, a bar and a relaxation area with jacuzzi and sauna.

One of the two annexes, the former Orangery, has been transformed into a great reception room which can accommodate up to 250 people.

As the castle does not have a restaurant on site, an array of excellent restaurants that will delight any gourmet palates can be found within a 3 to 15 km radius of the hotel.

The continental breakfast is served in the dining room.

Food & beverage

Because the Château de Moresville does not have a restaurant on the site, the management will propose a variety of cold plates for lunch. An array of excellent restaurants suitable to gourmet appetites can be found within a short radius (3 to 15 km).

Room information

Located on the second level of the main building, each room has its own unique style and offers peaceful views of the quiet pond and forest. Providing a delightful environment for a stay of one night or more, each room also features a uniquely decorated bathroom completed with matching sink, shower and toilet.

Area information

Come to the castle for a restful stay, or from June to September come enjoy the numerous local outdoor sports activities you can find only ten minutes away, such as golfing, horseback riding, canoeing, wind surfing, sailing, tennis, miniature golf, swimming and flying.

Or you can also enjoy many cultural and tourist activities such as visiting Chartres Cathedral, a jewel of gothic architecture and stained glass, the renaissance Castle of Francis the first in Blois, Châteaudun’s medieval keeps and castles, the picturesque House of Aunt Leonie or the Marcel Proust Museum in Illiers-Combray (the native home of the world-renown writer).

The living room was beautiful. It had 4 huge windows. On one side of the great room/living two windows opened up into the front courtyard and on the opposite wall 2 windows opened up to a patio, pond and forested area behind the chateau. The bathroom was new and couldn't have been nicer.

The furniture was very worn. It was like sitting in a hole to sit on the sofa.

The location, architecture, decor and staff. The animals on the farm next door (two young goats, 12 chickens and one hen with her chicks). The garden. The chapel. The grounds, windswept under a starry sky with a crescent moon.

Beautiful looking place and setting.

Room not ready even at 6pm check-in, no restuarant (5 miles to nearest, if open), no refreshments at all available, room v.small, bed small, bathroom v.v.small. no h/dryer, car park long walk in dark, felt we were inconveniencing them by turning up as they didn't seem to expect us. B/fast not available until 9am (and €12 each so declined!!)

El hotel estaba muy bien, pero está demasiado alejado de los sitios de intererés, si uno quiere desconectar y relajarse es ideal, sobre todo por los bosques que tiene alrededor que son geniales para pasear

La chambre n'était pas d'une propreté irréprochable: vitres très sales et poussière importante sur la table en verre.regrettable pour un hotel de cette catégorie là.mais à décharge nous avons eu la chambre avant 14 heures 30 pour raison de cérémonie et la souplesse de la direction fait oublier tout cela!

Mooie kamer en prachtige locatie. Personeel was op zich vriendelijk. Hebben ons rondgeleid door mooie kasteel

Personeel leek geen kennis van zaken te hebben. 4 drankjes duurden een half uur. Ze deden ook wat oenig toen we aankwamen. Het leek uitgestorven en wij kwamen met onze 3 kinderen aan. Er waren in ieder geval nog 2 kamers vrij, dus wij begrepen reactie op onze komst niet echt. Jammer dat er geen restaurant bij was terwijl de locatie daar absoluut goed voor zou zijn.
