As “Austria's Design Hotel 2008” we are standing for a new definition of beauty and this is treated as an all-embracing wellness concept in which the guest is the centre of attention.

Highlights: 1,400 m² Spa & Balance Centre with a private spa suite, blue box and floating pool, indoor and outdoor sports pool, 5,000 m² private lakeside grounds, awarded gourmet-restaurant, cosy bar & lounge with open fireplace.

Food & beverage

In our award-winning gourmet restaurant only absolutely fresh, local products are used. Through the windows of our show kitchen you get the chance to look over the shoulders of Mr. Stalzer and his team while they are preparing the delicious dishes. Excellent wines are waiting in a glass walk-in cube situated in the restaurant. “See and be seen” is the motto of our bar and lounge with its open fireplace.

Room information

All rooms feature high-quality furnishings such as balcony, wellness bath or shower, bathrobe, electric hair dryer and high-quality body-care products by the in-house cosmetics line Mavida Crystal Spa. Choose between rooms with a bathroom separate from the bedroom or with a bathtub integrated into the living area. The view is amazing: the impressive mountains of the surrounding area can be admired through the windows of the rooms. Design and style are shown throughout the entire range of high-class room furnishings. Superior materials such as timber and shale, mainly of regional origin, create a modern yet cosy atmosphere. The colour design is perfectly in line with the design philosophy of the Mavida. The rooms are dominated by shades of white, beige, earth-colour and red.

The region of Zell am See-Kaprun is the ideal starting point for wonderful excursions. In the vicinity of the hotel, there are numerous tumbling waterfalls, mighty glaciers and canyons waiting to be discovered. Experience the impressive beauty of the Austrian Alps - a varied landscape with more than 30 glaciers, the Hohe Tauern National Park, romantic valleys and the crystal clear Lake Zell awaits you.

Winter highlights: fascinating skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing all year round on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and during the winter season on the Schmittenhöhe, ice skating on Lake Zell, horse-drawn sleighs, snowshoe hiking, tobogganing, and much more.

Summer highlights: golfing on the Zell am See-Kaprun golf course - only 2 km away - and on the more than 20 courses within a one-hour drive, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, Nordic walking, cycling, sailing, swimming in Lake Zell, horseback riding, archery, paragliding, and much more.

Friendly and well qualified staff, beautiful interior designing, free bikes rent, but most of all.....Helpful staff, and I thank them for making my stay a pleasant experience!

No ac, so do not go there when its hot!

Comfortable rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff.

Being charged for "complimentary food" at dinner. All charges stated were without all taxes which were 30%. It was also right beside a railway track which was used for both industrial and passenger from 6am through till 12am. No air con or fans available at 35 degrees - I was told it wasn't hot by a receptionist who was sweating buckets. We didn't get much sleep

Rooms, bar, restraunt, spa.

Pillow's (changed them once), the large ones take up too much bed space. The heating in room did get opressive sometimes, we did start to turn radiatior down before dinner to resolve. No dvd instructions

Küche ist excellent, Mitarbeiter super freundlich, Spa Bereich und Anwendungen sehr schön. Ein rundum gelungenes Design Hotel mit angenehmer Atmosphäre. Kinder erst ab 12 Jahren! Sehr gut!
