Within our grounds you find a small bathing beach, a children’s playground and a lakeside terrace.

All children from 8 to 15 years are charged CHF 52.00 per night and person for extra beds.

All further older children or adults are charged CHF 60.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

Hotel information

The hotel's banqueting facilities can cater for up to 100 people. Its conference and seminar rooms can hold between 2 and 20 people.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:00 every day.

There are a variety of places to enjoy food and refreshment, including the restaurant, the Panorama- or the Lake-terrace. You can admire stunning scenery while enjoying a glass of wine or a delicious meal.

Specialties include a variety of different types of Kebab and Fondue.

It is advisable to reserve a table at the restaurant.

The restaurant is open daily from 10:00 and is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in low season.

Room service is available between 8:00 and 23:00. There is an extra charge of CHF 5 for room service.

Room information

Babycots and extra beds are dependent on the room size. They are available on demand and have to be confirmed by the hotel.

Area information

The hotel is situated beside Lake Thun. Here you can take part in water sports on the lake and hiking on the mountains surrounding it. You can also explore caves close by and take a lake cruise.

Thun's town centre is only a 15 minute bus ride away. Here you can visit the old town, castle and market which is held twice a week.

I loved the back lawn/park area. We brought our toddler, so we were able to picnic, let him exert some energy, and enjoy the gorgeous scenery all at the same time. I also was very pleased with the location of the hotel. We were between Thun and Interlaken, which made it very easy to get to both places for sightseeing. I'd love to go back in the summer when we can take advantage of the water sports

I cannot think of anything I disliked, other than the lumpy pillows. :-)

Room had a lovely view of lake. Staff were without fail anxious to help, attentive and friendly. Hotel situation halfway between Thun and Interlaken very convenient unless you wanted the motorway or the train. Good bus service and fabulous area for sightseeing. Might be too quiet for some folk but it was conducive to a lovely, restful holiday.

Some of the rooms have very small bathrooms and the showers can be rather unsophisticated, (daughter was a visitor)

excellent a la carte restaurant. Attractive location. Friendly staff.

Unfortunately at this time there is a major extension being built which did detract from the ambience especially if you wished to stay there during the day. We were not made aware of this before either booking or arriving.

Fantastic location, beautiful gardens on lakeside for relaxing, eating, drinking. Contemporary/chic restaurant with good quality food. Direct lake access for swimming with stunning views over high Alps. Staff were consistently helpful and friendly, and at ease with customers of all ages and nationalities. Bus and boat ferry stops just outside made access to everything easy. Just great!

Beautiful view across the lake; free fruit and mineral water on first night; free wireless internet (but only in lounge, not in room); free fruit juice and mineral water in lounge during the day. Cheerful and friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet.

The chef uses too much balsamic vinegar in his sauces (half board dinner.)

Situation on the lake, nice staff, interior decor very nice, lovely garden, good-size bedroom with comfortable seating.

Extensive building work being carried out immediately next to the hotel building-car parking could be difficult and some noise.

Position, close enough to the city for easy access, but far enough to be away from it all. The views are breath taking!

This is really a summer hotel so the facilities were limited for the time of year, though the breakfast provided was very good. I really think with a bit of marketing the hotel could expand its low season market as the area has a lot to offer, not just sking, but views and tranquility.

Wonderful view over a large lake in the alps. Majestic hotel with a private park on the lake. Excellent service, exceptional restaurant. We loved it.

Ther is no train station nearby, so one has to take a 20 min bus ride to the hotel but it goes right to the door. However, I believe this inconvenience is more than compensated by the lower rates compared to similar hotels in the larger towns, that could be twice as much. Also, ther is the charm of a smaller and less crowded village.

Der Garten zwischen Hotel und See ist sensationell. Das Essen war sehr gut und der Preis war angemessen (Preis - Leistung sehr gut) . Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung.
