Lovely pool and gym. Room was clean with good facilities.

service in the restaurant was poor-waited over 30 minutes for main course even though it wasn't that busy.Walls are really thin-could hear next doors conversations!

The hoekls restaurant was a disgrace! 1 hour to serve two salad starters, dreadful service and dreadful food. Not to be recommended

The Hotel itself was 1st rate and so were the staff.

Surcharge on the price of the hotel rooms on the weekend of the great north run. Resturaunt service was very slow and several food and drink orders were wrong and late in ariving

I have stopped at this hotel on several occasions as it is conventient for business. It is located conveniently for a range of facilities. The hotel pool and gym facilities are good and the restaurant is reasonable although service could be better, particularly when busy.

Extremely noisy - woken several times between midnight and 4am by hotel revellers outside the hotel and in corridors. The rooms are all non smoking but room smelled of stale smoke. Staff said hotel was full and that the hotels fines those who smoke but that doesn't help you if you're the next into the room! I am booked for another night at the hotel and have requested a quieter location

Convienent with friendly helpful staff. Pool etc was excellent.

Coffee machine being cleaned at 10.20pm although you were offering Irish Coffee available. A quibble but annoying never the less.

Checking in was good but the service in the restaurant was not up to the standard I expected. Staff friendly, but on the Monday evening we had to wait 15 mins until a waitress came to take our order, 45 mins for the meal to be cooked.

I booked this hotel expecting to be able to use the leisure facilities. My husband had to go to a meeting on the Monday morning and I decided to book a massage while he was away. When I went to book it I was told that unfortunately they had decided to close the beauty rooms on a Sunday and Monday therefor no treatments available. I was very dissapointed.

Breakfast was a disaster on both days of our stay due to lack of staff we a had very long wait to get in, tables not cleared food and kitchenware top up without asking.

The receptionist, those serving dinner, and dinner were very good. Quality of breakfast was disappointing, although staff were helpful. I Liked the hotel and would stay again.
