Ideally located in the heart of Newcastle city centre, this well placed hotel is just a short walk away from Newcastle Central train station and many of the city’s shops.

The hotel is easily accessible from the A167 and has its own car park, making it a very convenient place to stay. If you are travelling by train then you will find the hotel just a short walk away from Newcastle Central train station, where there is an entrance to the Tyne and Wear Metro system that will give you quick and easy access to the surrounding area. The fantastic central location means that there are many shops nearby, including the Newgate and Eldon Square shopping centres.

The hotel’s restaurant has panoramic views of the city centre and offers a full range of dishes. The cocktail bar is adjoined to the restaurant and offers a wide selection of beverages.

Excellent breakfast selection

Lack of sound proofing i.e.double glazing in the room due to noise from outside that was almost continuous until 3am. The evening meal for which we had paid was served too late to allow us to eat and attend the concert which was the purpose of the visit

Noisy stag party next room, on arrival noticed that bathroom was a bit shabby and smelly (extractor not working).

Almost everything;but see below.

Couldn't find the Hotel's front door; where the heck is it. I arrived on foot and had to come in via the winding carpark entrance and even then, found it difficult to find my way about the Hotel. Perhaps better and clearer signs in the street and in the Hotel would help. The place is also rather badly lit. Just seen "Complaints" notice and did complain about the lack of insufficient signs.

excellent evening meal and breakfast. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Position of hotel right in middle of city. Ideal for shops and night life Do not need your car once there and no charge for parking .

Our room was on the side of hotel right near centre for night life and noisey until early hours. Could be a problem for some people but maybe it is worse on a Saturday night night.

Central position, friendly staff, convenient car park. The city centre itself was very impressive. We enjoyed the opera and an evening in a bar with an Irish band

The interior of the hotel was very tired and worn. I would have to make this reservation if recommending the hotel, so I cannot respond yes or no to the next question.

close to the city centre

it was too noisy, you can hear the nightlife, might need double glazing! Toilet in bathroom too close to the wall, cold water wouldnt work from shower, room to small, too many beds in room.

checking out was quick and easy

the room was tiny even though it was supposed to be a double, it was dirty, very noisy due to location. Very difficult to find, food was not very good, and no one to help when lost looking for the restaurant. Staff were unfriendly at breakfast although reception staff were ok they were too busy having their own conversation to help.

The staff and roof top terrace which was beautiful in the morning.

The state of the hotel was poor. The wind rattled through the windows because they've never been replaced and kept me awake all night the general decor was ina poor state.
