The family owned Ibsens Hotel is located right off the Latin Quarter which means a plethora of shopping, dining and cultural attractions just outside the front door. The hotel is within blocks of Strøget – Copenhagen’s premier shopping precinct – and theatres, cinemas, parks, buses and the Metro are all in walking distance.

The staff of Ibsens Hotel takes pride in exceeding the expectations of its guests. Each guestroom offers comfortable furnishings and features a contemporary décor. All rooms include a working desk for the business traveler, as well as all of the amenities leisure guests have come to expect.

Furthermore, this hotel is CO2 neutral and a member of the world’s first CO2 neutral hotel chain, Brøchner Hotels. As a guest you can combat global warming by purchasing a hotel stay with a CO2 quota. The purchase of a CO2 quota prevents the emission of 1 tonne of CO2 into the atmosphere.

Food & beverage

Our Italian restaurant La Rocca, produces light lunches and grand dinners with the same impressive skill. In winter, meals are served inside at white-clothed tables, in summer outdoors under parasols. In connection with the hotel are also the tapas restaurant Pinxtos and If you are looking for something really special, Sticks’n’Sushi offers the delicate art of Japanese fish and yakitori cookery.

113 bedrooms and 5 suites, all furnished in their own individual style, from the simple to the more exuberant and romantic. The facilities are the same in all rooms and they have a really comfortable bed.

Very pleasant staff, easy connection to any part of the city (hotel is near the metro station and on 15 minutes from the central walking area)

There is no radiator and carpet in the bathroom, so if you don't have slippers, it might be a little cold only for your feet. Everything else is perfect!

the location of the hotel near to metro/rail facilities. Our room was comfortable and relatively quiet; availability of tea/coffee in the lounge was appreciated

the room was not cleaned properly - there was thick dust on the bedside table, balls of dust on the floor under the chair and crumbs of food under other furniture which had been there some considerable time. It was clear that the room had not been hoovered or dusted for weeks and this had not been spotted by any manager checking the cleanliness of the room. We reported it to Reception.

The breakfast closed much too early especially for tourists who come in late andf have to get up too early. We cam,e down a little after 9 am and it was completely closed. That was disappointing.
